THE
HIDDEN HAND THE
FEAR OF SAMUEL WALTON |
It
was a lovely April day with the skylarks and plovers all around and
I was walking across one of the larger fields and quite alone. I was
suddenly overcome by a great feeling of fear. I could feel shivers and
sweat up my back. I was so scared I just wanted to run and get out of
the place. But there was nothing there and no reason for being afraid.
I walked away and stopped myself from running. The feeling vanished
once I was back on the road that leads to Chatsworth. I wondered if
I was ill or I had had a panic attack but the feeling never returned
when I was walking.
